The Challenge

A 4-star hotel in Leeds city centre lost their entire housekeeping agency contract with 48 hours notice after their previous provider ceased trading. With 180 rooms at full occupancy and a major conference group arriving in 3 days, they needed a full housekeeping team immediately — experienced hotel room attendants, linen porters and a public area cleaning team. All workers had to be DBS-checked and trained before stepping on site.

Our Solution

We received the call on a Monday afternoon and mobilised immediately. Within 6 hours we had identified 30 suitable candidates from our pre-vetted hotel housekeeping pool across West Yorkshire. We conducted rapid telephone interviews, confirmed DBS and COSHH documentation for all candidates, and organised a same-day briefing call with the client's Head of Housekeeping to align on their exact room standards, linen procedures and checkout times. By Tuesday morning, 24 fully vetted operatives arrived for an on-site induction. A Gangal account manager attended for the first day to oversee the handover.

The Challenge

A university halls of residence provider in Leeds needed 200 student bedrooms and 40 communal areas deep cleaned, sanitised and inspected within a 5-day window between end of summer term and a conference booking. The previous year they had used multiple agencies and the project overran by 3 days, costing them a significant penalty. They needed one provider who could guarantee delivery to a fixed schedule with consistent quality across all rooms.

Our Solution

We designed a structured 5-day project plan. We deployed 35 cleaning operatives across 5 teams of 7, with a dedicated project manager and two team leaders overseeing the operation. We created a 47-point room checklist and a traffic light inspection system — every room signed off by a team leader before being marked complete. We ran 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm) and supplied all chemicals, equipment and PPE. The client provided nothing but access.

The Challenge

A property developer in Sheffield acquired a former industrial unit for residential conversion. Before groundworks could begin, the site required a full clearance — removing concrete flooring, steel fixtures, contaminated material and general debris across a 2,400 sq ft footprint. The developer's main contractor needed a reliable labour supply for site clearance at short notice, with all workers CSCS-carded and compliant with site rules. Programme pressure meant work had to start within 5 days.

We supplied 8 CSCS-carded demolition labourers working alongside the main contractor's plant. All workers were inducted on site before day one, PPE was fully supplied by Gangal, and we provided a daily attendance report to the site manager. When the programme was accelerated in week 2, we increased headcount to 11 operatives within 24 hours to meet the revised timeline. CIS deductions were handled seamlessly — the main contractor processed standard deductions through their accounts, and Gangal verified all UTR details within 24 hours of instruction.

The Challenge

A large distribution centre in Wakefield needed a reliable night-shift cleaning team to maintain 85,000 sq ft of warehouse floor, racking areas and loading bays.
